John is a long-time meditator and life-long learner who finds sharing his experiences in contemplative practices richly rewarding.  Beginning with participation in Quaker meetings as a young man, John has studied and learned from teachers and communities of many traditions.

Teaching meditation began in his role as a professional executive and personal coach in NYC. By providing opportunities for his clients to reflect on all of the dimensions in their lives, they were able to discover broader and deeper understanding of how their own minds worked and opened to a much broader universe of choices and options.

John had a long career in senior management positions and earned a Master’s degree and did post graduate work in Educational Psychology at Teachers College – Columbia University.  He was also certified as an Executive and Personal Coach through New York University.

Spring and Fall 12-week series classes on various Buddhist teachings are currently being held in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. In addition, weekly guided meditation is available online.  Additional on-line classes and guided meditation sessions are offered occasionally throughout the year. Check our Calendar page for classes, events and locations.
